How to Research Via Computer

Researching Religious Information:

Step 1:

If nothing else works try a search engine.

When looking for a computer based Bible program, look for one with a searchable index. I always feel like I'm part of Babylon 5's society or have warped into Star Trek's era whenever I use the search function of computer based Bibles.

For example you are writing about angels:

"Computer search for references of angels."

Meanwhile I go to the "Find" command, and type in the word "angels." A prompt comes up asking if it should search the Old or New Testament.

"Computer, search both the Old and New Testament." I command.

I check the box that says, "Search Old and New Testament."

After a short while the computer screen shows me a list. My mind translates the information with Star Treks computer's voice. Presto, all the info I requested is at my fingertips.

The searchable texts are not as advanced as Star Trek's. One or two words work best.

Sometimes you get different results if you use the same word but a different Bible version.

Bible Interpretations is information on Bible versions, some guides on interpreting it and Bible background links.
