Free Bible study software to use on your computer. Bibles, commentaries and dictionaries are readily viewed without having to "tile windows. Integrated editor and search capabilities. The verses in the commentaries are linked with the Bible and you can search multiple versions all at once. Well worth the download time. A download manager is very helpful tool for obtaining this program.
Read as many books on the subject as you can either afford, find at the library or read in the book store about what ever topic you are researching with caution. Ask questions and go back to step 1.
Online Bible Software This Bible Study freeware program lets you add entire books, different Bible versions, commentaries and dictionaries to your computer and have multiple hyper-linked reference sources open at the same time. You need a download manager for this program too. Choose their Components link then choose their Installation files link to get started.

Hyper History contains 2000 files covering 3000 years. To find religious information choose the timeline of interest.
Exploring Ancient World Culture The Near East starts with Gilgamesh.
Jewish Encyclopedia The complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published between 1901-1906. Contains over 15,000 articles and illustrations.
