SmatteringsBooks home of the Knife of Truth sci-fi steampunk series is a small press founded in 1997, released our first title in 2008 and has been laying the foundations to provide quality books to the public ever since. Located in Western NY, near Buffalo we want to employs over 2,000 people and do all kinds of awesome things for the community. However, due to an ongoing recession we don’t employ even ourselves.
We actually do do all kinds of awesome things for the community whenever we have an opportunity. SmatteringBooks editor, Ruth Willerth heads up the yearly Alden Methodist yard sale, and the Halloween ghost hunt in the church basement. She is a lay leader, president of UMW, and serves on church committees.
Author, Cynthia Willerth spent over 50 years donating her time and expertise in Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Indian Dance Team, Fort York, Methodist Youth Fellowship, served on about every church committee except for treasurer while writing one acts for the church youth Christmas Program and children’s short stories.
SmatteringsBooks plans to add to the two titles we have released: Knife of Truth, A Matter of Honor and Knife of Truth, Road to Megara. Cynthia Willerth continues to revise and polish book three in the Knife of Truth sci-fi steampunk series.
Meanwhile SmatteringsBooks opened submissions to the Northside Writer community September 2011. And based on the groups avid rewrites and grueling critiques and even more rewrites SmatteringBooks feels excited about upcoming titles in general fiction and non-fiction genres.
